Various packages are available dependent upon duration/frequency of walks required.
We provide group walks which are ideal for socialisation, and keep numbers limited so that all dogs receive plenty of attention. Individual walks are also available.
We currently offer walks in Leyland, Buckshaw and the surrounding area.
Unfortunately we cannot accept anti-social or aggressive dogs, or bitches in heat.
It is also a pre-requisite that your dog is up to date with all vaccinations and worming/flea treatments.
By law, your dog must wear an I.D tag whilst out in our company and must be microchipped.
How does the service work?
Initial Meet & Greet
If you have a requirement for one of our dog walking services, the first thing you need to do is get in touch with us. I will then arrange a meeting at a convenient time to suit yourself where I will come and meet you and your dog (preferably at the location where you will want the dog collecting from for walks), and have a chat so that you can get to know me (and so that I can get to know your dog!). There is no fee for this initial meet-and-greet.
I do have a comprehensive list of questions that I will want to ask you about your dog to make sure that I get to know as much as possible about their lifestyle and personality traits; for example anything they may be scared of, special things they really like and enjoy, and most importantly any medical issues.
Providing you are happy with what I have explained, and if you would like to move forward, we can sort out a walking schedule dependent upon your requirements. If you like, I am more than happy to join you and your dog on a walk (free of charge) to make sure that we get on with each other. I appreciate that it is a huge responsibility employing someone to look after your animal whilst you are away.
What happens on walk day?
I will come to the agreed location (normally your home) to collect your dog for their walk at the agreed time on the agreed days. If you won’t be at home, I will already have been given a key and/or access instructions during the meet & greet so that I am able to enter your home to collect your dog. Please note:- your key will be stored in a locked security box using a coded identification system when not in use.
Your dog will be transported safely to a dog friendly area, providing a stimulating and safe environment for walking and playing, then settled back in to your home afterwards with a cuddle and a treat. If it has been a wet day, I provide towels to give your dog a towel down before saying goodbye.
I like to keep a variety of locations on rotation to ensure that the dogs are constantly able to take in new sights and smells. I also try to cater for each individual dog’s preferences; whether they like water, woodland trails or open fields to chase balls, I make sure that they get a bit of everything whilst out on walks with me.
Providing I am confident that your dog will come back when called, I am happy to exercise them off the lead (if you so wish) with written consent. I will of course only do so if I am in an area which I deem suitable and safe for them to be able to run free in, where they cannot be in any danger.
